It’s obvious from the Scriptures,
It’s men that God has put in charge.
God gave to them His holy word
To carry through life for all mankind.
Let’s look at how they’ve bungled it,
And the scrambled interpretations we find.

As supposed heads of their households,
They’ve really made their mark.
They’ve stolen, and cheated, and lied,
And hated, and maimed, and they’ve killed
To obtain the greener pastures they’ve spied.

All this they’ve done in God’s holy name.
They’ve abused their wives and their children.
They’ve left them alone to search for wealth.
The image of men is a sad one.
They’re not the pictures of spiritual health.

Look at the current trends of our cults,
Doe, Keresh, and Jim Jones,
And even the more respectable preachers –
For money, power, and honor –
Among men, they are unholy teachers.

These men created in their own image
Is not a pretty picture.
The next time God sends us a vision,
For all of mankind to live by,
Let it be sent through God’s lowly woman.
